A zine created for Flo Oy Wong's 85th Birthday. Lunch was served at Imperial Soup, located at 723 Webster Street in Oakland Chinatown, a place which was home to the Wong family restaurant, The Great China, from 1943-1961.
Flo read her poem, “I Come to My Family’s Soul,” and the zines were shared with Flo & guests as a surprise gift. The zine features an Oakland Chinatown drawing by Flo, her poem, and artist Desi Mundo’s rendering of the 723 Webster Mural Project for Roy Chan's Oakland Chinatown Oral History Project, with photos by Andi Wong.
